The company’s latest transient blocking units (TBUs), the C650, C850, and P40 families, are designed for a broad range of applications including industrial, test, security, and process control equipment. Reportedly, the resettable components feature extremely low energy let-through and provide secure protection for a varying range of power surge threats from lightning and power cross to technician error and factory floor mishaps. They are compatible with high-speed data buses and have a very small footprint. The components employ the company’s TBU technology, which is designed to immediately block a transient through a current disconnecting mechanism. Allegedly, the technology completely eliminates latency in the circuit protection design. Pricing for the C Series is $0.60 each/5,000. BOURNS INC., Riverside, CA. (951) 784-3100.
