The company’s latest family of large cell prismatic electrochemical double layer capacitors (EDLCs) come in 1,000F, 3,000F, and 5,000F capacities and are reportedly smaller in size than comparable components and lower in cost for the overall system design. The EDLCs exhibit a high-cycle life and operate over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +70°C. They are viable as sole energy storage devices or can be combined with other energy storage devices such as batteries or fuel cells to meet specific requirements. Prices for the 1,000F, 3,000F, and 5,000F are $62, $90, and $175 each, respectively, in low volume. Additionally, designer kits are available starting at $149 each.
