Cost-saving LED Flood Lighting for Interiors and Exteriors

    Aug. 27, 2012
GlacialLight has added the GL-FL30S, a 28W AC-input LED Flood Light with an infra-red motion sensor, to its popular range of LED lighting products.

GlacialLight has added the GL-FL30S, a 28W AC-input LED Flood Light with an infra red motion sensor, to its popular range of LED lighting products. The GL-FL30S provides bright and pleasing illumination suitable for indoor and outdoor retail, commercial, and industrial external lighting applications. The passive infra-red (PIR) motion sensor enhances ease-of-use, cuts power consumption, and improves security.

Making the most out LED technology, GlacialLight's GL-FL30S converts electricity to light with outstanding efficiency. Compared to equivalent mercury flood lights, these LED flood lights consume far less power for the same light output, with a luminous efficacy of up to 67.9 lumens per watt.

Additionally, the GL-FL30S has a very long life span of 30,000 hours. Therefore, in a typical usage pattern of eight hours each day, these LED flood lights can slash maintenance costs by providing more natural, gentler light with no perceptible flickering for over a decade without requiring replacement.

The passive infra-red (PIR) motion sensor can switch the flood light on when people enter the area, and switches it off again when they leave. This saves costs and reduces light pollution by preventing unnecessary use of lighting and power, and saves time for staff, who no longer have to switch lights on and off by hand. The instant bright illumination of an area when motion is detected also enhances security.

These versatile LED flood lights also come with an adjustable bracket allowing them to provide lighting with a 30° or 60° beam angle, so offering a wider range of illumination options in a single unit.

Two color variants are available. The GL-FL30S-CW provides bright daylight illumination at 6000K with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 70, while the GL-FL30S-WW illuminates with a warm 3000K beam and a CRI better than 80. Both color versions of the GL-FL30S have an input voltage range of 100V to 240V AC.
