Pumped for harsh and rugged duties, the PX series photoelectric sensors carry an IP-69K environmental rating, which allows them to withstand pressure levels up to 1,400 psi in wash-down applications and temperatures to 176°F. The sensor heads are backfilled with epoxy under vacuum conditions and employ scratch-resistant lenses. Seven water and oil resistant types of sensor heads are available to meet the needs of high-pressure wash down applications. The sensors also enlist high-intensity LEDs that combine infrared or four-element red LEDs with optical-quality glass lenses. The PX-H71 thru beam (20m) and PX-H61 reflective (2m) components produce a visible red light while the PX-H72 produces an infrared beam that handles detection distances up to 40m. For additional protection of the sensor heads, stainless steel guard units are available.
