A family of micro-ferrite power-related components includes inductors for power supplies and filtering applications and transformers that are compatible with Maxim's driver chipsets. First offerings include the 76253 Series of 5V and 3.3V converter transformers, which are specifically designed for use with Maxim's MAX253 driver IC. The 5V devices supply a maximum of 1W from the Maxim chip, while the 3.3V transformers coax up to 500 mW.Transformers are offered with isolation voltages of 1500 vdc, 4000 vdc, or 6000 vdc. The units offer an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and can operate at frequencies up to 500 kHz. They're encapsulated in a UL94-V0-rated DIP with a standard 6-pin pinout. A center-tapped secondary is available for full-bridge, half-bridge, or voltage-doubling configurations.
