Targeted at edge and back lighting applications, scanners, and other specialty illumination needs, new line filament lamps are designed to emit uniform light over their entire length. They come in axial lead and fuse styles and range from 1 mm to 89 mm long and 1 mm to 5mm in diameter. Featuring tungsten filaments encased in glass envelopes, these low-voltage light sources usually last greater than 50,000 hours. Typical color temperature of the lamps is 2,000°K, while operation is from 1.48 to 18 Vdc. Instant on/off permits pulsed illumination to millisecond intervals. The lamps are priced according to style, size and quantity.
