Connection Box Speeds Sensor Setup

May 1, 2001

The PLUSCON SACB connection box includes quick disconnect, pluggable connectors for both sensors and actuators in a single junction box. Connection to the superior controller is made with a single master cable, a feature said to provide for rapid startup.
The connection between the box and sensor or actuator is made with one of the company's SAC cables that are designed for environments that require IP 67-level protection. The box is available with four, six and eight M12 slots and the M12 circular connectors have up to three status LEDs to indicate 24V and sensor signals one and two. Connections to sensors and actuators are made with M8 or M12 connectors, with the master cable using a round-plug connector or spring-type terminal block.
