Exploiting recent advances in InGaN/SiC technology, the Cotco TBL series LEDs feature a geometrically enhanced Epi-down chip structure design to maximize light extraction efficiency. The components also incorporate a current-distribution layer that requires a single-wire bond for increased LED reliability. They measure approximately 115 µm in height and require a low forward voltage. Additionally, the LEDs deliver luminous intensities up to 12,000 mcd and are available in 5-mm round and elliptical packages with a variety of viewing angles from 15° to 110° x 50°. Pricing starts at $0.38 each/5,000. MARKTECH OPTOELECTRONICS, Latham, NY. (800) 984-5337.
