Designed to meet the space and performance needs in medical and dental instrumentation and systems, a new ultra-miniature open frame modular switching power supply achieves output over the range of 5W to 15W. All OFM/M models accept universal input from 85 to 265 Vac. In all, 12 models provide single outputs of 3.3 to 24 Vdc and dual outputs of ±12 or ±15 Vdc. The supply is pinout and size compatible to industry standards. An integral power-good LED indicator and an output adjustment potentiometer come standard. Ambient operating temperature range is 0°C to 45°C without forced cooling or output power derating. All models contain over-voltage and short-circuit protection circuitry. The OFM/M power supply is fully approved to EN60950/UL1950, and EN60601-1 medical safety specifications. Dimensions of the 5W version measure 2.28"L x 1.8"W x 0.83"H, and all models are designed for PCB plug-in mounting. Pricing starts at $19 each. ASTRODYNE, Taunton, MA. (800) 823-8082.
