Illuminated Pushbutton Switches Perform Without Contacts

In place of traditional contacts, the FP01 illuminated pushbutton switches operate using a photo interrupter, with the pushbuttons having a minimum life span of three million operations. A single photo transistor enables the pushbuttons to activate a momentary ON position, with the devices's rugged construction and smooth operation said to allow rapid, repetitive actuation anywhere on their actuator surface. The FP01 contactless, photo diode-activated pushbuttons feature bright LEDs and brilliant colored actuators, permitting the devices to be configured for either highly visible status indication or for subdued illumination for low light requirements.
