The PL-10540 and PL-10550 desktop platforms feature Intel’s EP80579 integrated processor system-on-chip (SoC) with QuickAssist technology. The PL-10540 and PL-10550 support 4-GbE and 5-GbE LAN capabilities, respectively, and offer a scalable selection of 600-, 1.066-, and 1.2-GHz versions. Both platforms feature a 9 in. x 6.5 in. x 1.7 in. profile, support for DDRII 400/533/667/800 memory, four or five 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, support for SATA HDD, compact flash II support, USB NAND flash support, one USB 2.0 port and one console port, dual programmable LEDs, and RoHS compliance. Operating-system support includes Linux, Windows Embedded XP, and FreeBSD. Available in mid December, prices for the PL-10540 and PL-10550 start at $425 and $455 each, respectively.
