The 78 series 10-A relays are available with a variety of options, including a push-to-test button and a green LED status lamp. The ice-cube-style industrial relays use quick-connect, plug-in/solder terminals. They can be specified with either a polycarbonate dust cover or with an optional top flange cover. Load contact rating for all models is 10 A at 250 V ac from 50 to 60 Hz. Also, ac-operated relays are available with voltage ratings from 6 to 240 V ac; dc models handle from 6 to 110 V dc. The 78XCX is an 11-pin three-pole, double-throw (3PDT) relay. The 78XDX is a 14-pin four-pole, double-throw (4PDT) version. Mating sockets are available for both versions and are DIN-mounted with screw terminals. The sockets have optional two-piece hold-down clips. The 78 series relays suit industrial control applications. They serve as drop-in replacements for other relays, including the IDEC RH3B and RH4B series devices. The 78 series relays cost $3.32 each in production quantities. Delivery is from stock to a 12-week lead time.
