Entering the market as high-power, solid-state alternatives to neon for signage applications, the OVF series square LEDs exhibit a luminous flux as high as 5,000 mlm with a forward current of 70 mA. They are available in white, blue, green, amber, red/orange, and red in 7.6-mm2, 4-pin through-hole packages with water clear lenses that provide viewing angles from 40° to 120°. In similar packages, the OVFT series LEDs are available in blue, green, yellow, red/orange, red, and white. They deliver a luminous flux from 360 to 3,360 mlm with forward currents from 20 to 70 mA and provide a viewing angle of 120°. Both series specify an operating temperature range from -40°C to 100°C and are compatible with lead-free soldering processes. Prices for the OVF series starts at $0.21 each/10,000.
