The LP-9930 power detector measures the output power of bare and connected fibers, laser diodes, and LEDs from 1 nW to 100 mW (20 to −60 dBm). It works in conjunction with the company's single- or two-channel optometer. Also, it uses a 2-in. (50-mm) diameter barium-sulfate-coated integrating sphere, baffled indium gallium arsenide (0.3 mA/W at 1550 nm), and silicon (1 mA/W at 633 nm) photodiodes. Cables that are 2 m long with baby n connectors are included as well. M3 threaded holes enable the detector to accept all standard telecom fiber connectors, bare fiber adapters, or other custom mounts. Available now, the unit has a base price of $1958.
