LEDs Offer Pure Spectral Output

Sept. 1, 1998
A purely spectral output double heterostructure LED in a TO-46 package with flat window, OD-780W diodes emit 780 nm peak with a typical 25 nm spectral bandwidth. The LEDs produce no secondary peak emissions, thus reducing false or incorrect results.

A purely spectral output double heterostructure LED in a TO-46 package with flat window, OD-780W diodes emit 780 nm peak with a typical 25 nm spectral bandwidth. The LEDs produce no secondary peak emissions, thus reducing false or incorrect results. The spectral characteristics of the diodes are well-suited for fluorescence and spectral comparison applications where narrow definition of color is important. Custom wavelengths offer peak outputs from 700 to 860 nm.
