Users can power their CompactPCI system with a simple plug-in directly into the backplane when using these pluggable power supplies. They’re said to provide easier system maintenance as well as reduced harmonic distortion and protection from circuit overloads. They’re also hot-swap N+1 redundant for increased maintainability, have a universal PFC input for reduction in harmonic distortion, and offer overvoltage and overcurrent protection. Other features include: self-contained O-ring diodes; a single-wire current share of 5V, 3.3V, or 12V; improved mean time between failures and minimum time to replace; and LED status/fault indications. The supplies are available in 150W or 300W and ac or dc input voltage models.
