Packing a photoelectric emitter and receiver in a single housing, QMT42 Series Long-Range Diffuse Sensor offers accurate sensing for applications as near as 10 mm or as far as 6 m (20 feet) without a retroreflector or receiver. Typical applications are aircraft assemblies, trees, automated storage and retrieval equipment, robotic assemblies, and conveyors. The sensor uses collimated infrared sensing beam and special lensing for extremely high gain, maintenance-free operation and high sensing performance. It can sense dark and light objects reliably at varying ranges using a sensitivity potentiometer. Dimensions are 58 x 42 x 18 mm, and voltage required is 10 to 30 vdc. Green and yellow LEDs on the sensor provide constant operating status information at a glance. The proximity sensor is rated IP67 and NEMA 6 and has an operating temperature of -20ºC to 55ºC. A 2- or 9-meter cable can be supplied attached or 4-pin Euro-style fitting.
