Compact in design and claimed as very reliable, the L7559 high-speed, high-power infrared LED array is well suited for design in vehicle information communication systems as well as a variety of other spatial light transmission applications.
Measuring just 5.9 mm x 16.5 mm x 9.4 mm, the device consists of six LED chips mounted in a single package. The infrared LED provides an oval directivity pattern of ±10° along the longer side of the package and ±20° along the shorter side. When operated with a pulse current flow of 1.0A, the device delivers radiant intensity as high as 1300 mW/sr. Typical radiant flux is 60 mW. Peak wavelength is typically 850 nm and typical forward voltage is 4.5V. Priced at $21 each in OEM qty.
