Model 212 digital static meter features a chopper stabilized sensor for long-term, accurate measurements in both normal and ionized environments. It has a 3.5-digit LCD and a recorder output jack. The measurement range is from 0 to ±20 kV at a meter-to-object distance of 1". The meter provides 10V resolution, polarity indication and low battery warning. LED ranging lights are available for achieving increased measurement accuracy, and a locking pushbutton switch enables the user to take a measurement and then hold the reading, a very useful feature when performing electrostatic experiments. And a user-adjustable zero control increases the instrument's versatility. Model 212 is housed in a compact, conductive case and incorporates a 0.25" male snap that accepts most wrist-strap cords for grounding. Accessories include a 20 pf charge plate detector, a charge plate assembly, and a ±1,200V charging source. Price: $495.
