The card is said to provide rapid switching of an optical signal between several instruments, a single instrument between multiple devices, or a combination of both. The card is available in 1 x 4 and 1 x 8 switching configurations, allowing systems that can accommodate up to four or eight devices under test (DUTs) or instruments, or greater by using cascaded switches.
