A new pre-assembled front panel, the VP4546, integrates a graphic LCD module with a customizable keypad. Targeted at low-volume user-interface applications such as instrumentation and medical systems, the panel is said to provide designers with a flexible means of producing front panels without incurring special tooling costs. The graphic module is a 160 x 80 LCD with array LED backlight and transmissive polarization for easy readability in low to moderate ambient lighting conditions. The cusomizable keypad comes with up to four different button configurations. A wide operating temperature, -20¡C to +70¡C, makes the panel suited for use in extreme environments. Prices start at $7 each/100. For more information, contact Jason Jang at DENSITRON CORP., Santa Fe Springs, CA. (562) 941-5000.
