Claimed to provide stable power output over their rated operating temperature range, Model ODT 880W GaAlAs LEDs feature a built-in detector that is monolithic with the LED chip. This monolithic design is said to allow for better tracking of power output over a wide temperature range. The detector peak wavelength reportedly follows the peak LED wavelength more closely as compared to external, silicon monitoring photodiodes.Output power for the temperature-compensated GaAlAs LEDs is 20 mW typical at 100 mA and detector current is 50 µA typical at a 100 mA drive current. Price is $5 each/100 with a delivery time ranging from three to five weeks ARO. For more details, contact OPTO DIODE CORP., Newbury Park, CA. (805) 499-0335.
