Rising to the challenges of mission-critical cPCI and VME64x applications requiring high-density cards without sacrificing reliability, the S33-1U chassis is said to provide standard features currently found only in custom-designed units. These include push-pull cooling for up to 75W per slot with no greater than a 20°C temperature rise at 55°C and multi-point temperature monitoring. Airflow through the chassis is via seven fans, each delivering up to 15 CFM. In addition, the chassis comes with a 250W power supply. Available in two versions, the cPCI chassis houses a two-slot backplane that supports hot-swap and system management bus functions. The two-slot VME64x unit allows cards to be rear mounted and measures 350 mm x 483 mm x 4 mm. Other features include front-panel LEDs and software-based system monitoring via RS-232 ports. Options include 24 Vdc and 48 Vdc inputs and Ethernet capability. Pricing starts at $2,575 each with a delivery time of eight weeks ARO. TRACEWELL SYSTEMS, Westerville, OH. (800) 848-4525.
