Finding a home in the CAR rectifier series for telecom and networking designs, the CAR0548 hot-swap rectifier delivers up to 500W in a 1U profile measuring 1.59" x 3.38" x 10.19". The rectifier is available in two versions: as a front-end power supply rated for 10.4A at 48V; and for telecom and battery-charging applications rated for 9.25A at −54V. Other features include a typical efficiency of 85%, an operating temperature range from −40°C to +70°C, fault redundancy, active-load sharing, output-voltage programming, current readout, remote on/off, and front-plate LEDs. Protection features include input over and under voltage, output over voltage, over temperature, and over current. A racking system, the ACE05, comes in a four-module, redundant hot-swap configuration offering scalability to 2 kW. Price for the CAR0548 is $275 each in OEM quantities.
