The company's latest LEDs exploit a 5-mm, concave-cylindrical (T1-3/4) design that allows them to emit light that is as bright at their edges as it is in the center. Concave lenses are said to improve the quality of the light beam by spreading out the collimated beam that LEDs typically emit. Additionally, this approach promises visible illumination even in the presence of direct sunlight. The LEDs are available in six colors: green (525 nm and 568 nm), cool white (8,000K), blue (461 nm), yellow (596 nm and 585 nm), red (655 nm, 660 nm, and 630 nm), and orange (606 nm). Other features include an average life span in excess of 100,000 hours. LEDTRONICS INC., Torrance, CA. (800) 579-4875.
