Resistant to the elements and vandals, the Series 48M family of metal pushbutton switches sets up residence in stainless steel or brass nickel-plated housings and employ panel seals meeting IP-67. RoHS compliant, the components exhibit a housing diameter measuring 16.49 mm and are available in electro-mechanical or solid-state (Hall effect) versions and momentary or maintained configurations. Illumination options are also available: center-spot LED in a variety of colors, ring illumination, or no illumination. Other features include PC or solder terminals, support for panel thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 3 mm, a double-D flat to prevent rotation, an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, and a mechanical life of 500,000 cycles (momentary) and 100,000 cycles (maintained).
