Set for delivery in January 2008, the Diamond DRAGON will debut as the market's brightest single-chip, surface-mount LED. The device achieves a brightness level up to 250 lumens and will be available in whites ranging from 2700K through 6500K as well as all monochromatic colors. Specifying a thermal resistance of 2.5 K/W, it specifies a maximum junction temperature of 175°C, which enables applications where cooling the LED is not easy.
