Driving up to six LEDs via a one-wire EZDim interface the CAT3637 driver reportedly delivers a 10% higher efficiency than three-mode charge pumps. The EZDim interface supports 16 output power levels from 0 to 30 mA in 2-mA steps. With efficiency levels up to 92%, the 3 mm x 3 mm TQFN device requires no additional capacitors. Other features include a fourth charge pump mode that achieves 1.33x boost mode with just two flying capacitors. Price is $0.82 each/10,000. CATALYST SEMICONDUCTOR INC., Sunnyvale, CA.
