Designed to illuminate hard-to-reach areas for visual inspection, the company's portable LED fiber optic probe offers a number of angled probe-extension sizes and angles. Each probe extension slips on and securely snaps into place over the light source on the illuminator handle. Extensions come in three angles, 180° (straight), 90°, and 45°, and in diameters of 0.12", 0.058", and 0.03". Using three AAA batteries for power, the probe features a 1.25W LED illuminator with a focusing lens to provide the same light output as a 3W LED without the extra heat. The LED specifies a lifespan of more than 10,000 hours. In addition to functioning independently from a plug-in power source, the illuminator fits all borescopes with an ACMI light guide connection post.
