At 67.2 lumens/W, the LF1D series of LED light strips are the brightest in their class, according to the manufacturer. Reinforced glass models feature IP67f protection against water, dust, and oil, making them suitable for use in machine tools or outdoor equipment. A polycarbonate plastic cover with IP67 protection is also available and is suitable for food-processing applications. The light strips, which retain 70% of their initial brightness at 50,000 hrs., output cool white (5700K) light. The strips come in slim (10-by-1 LED array) or wide (7-by-2 LED array) types running on 24 V dc. They are manufactured with a sturdy die-cast aluminum housing and stainless steel front cover, and are RoHS-compliant and mercury-free. UL approval is pending. Two cable options are available: side connection or back connection. In addition, a removable direct plug-in terminal block and spring clamp connections ensure a high-quality connection, making it easy to install or replace the LED strip. IDEC CORP., Sunnyvale, CA.
