G13 SMT Assembly Supports SSL Trends

Jan. 14, 2010
Tyco's RoHS-compliant G13 style SMT assembly and end-cap cover supports PCBs and LED strip lighting modules in standard T8 and T12 fluorescent LED retrofit tubes.
Tailored for emerging solid-state lighting (SSL) designs, the company’s RoHS-compliant G13 style SMT assembly and end-cap cover supports PCBs and LED strip lighting modules in standard T8 and T12 fluorescent LED retrofit tubes. The integrated assembly abets a quick SMT connection to the PCB and a standard pin interface to lamp-socket (tombstone) connectors. Compatible with FR4 and aluminum clad PCBs, other features include a surface-mount hold down for additional stability during insertion/extraction of the tube, a UL 94 V0 rated high temperature resistant thermoplastic housing, current rating of 2A, a 250-Vac/dc voltage rating, 1.5 kVac dielectric withstanding voltage, and a 0.5” pin centerline spacing per G13 specification. Operating temperature ranges from - 40°C to +120°C. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
