    Simplifying designs and taking little space, the STLED25 white-LED-backlight controller integrates control circuitry for up to 10 LEDs. It provides five current sources that connect directly to LED high-side terminals, allowing the low side connect to ground. This eliminates the need to connect each LED channel back to the control IC. LED drive current is set via an external resistor. Price is $1.50 each/1,000. STMICROELECTRONICS, Lexington, MA.
