Smart Camera Vision System Comes In Compact Package

The In-Sight 7000 smart camera vision system series features vision tools, image capture, power and control of a range of external lighting, and sufficient I/O capacity for a variety of inspection scenarios—all in a compact, industrial IP67 package. In-Sight measurement, location and inspection vision tools and the flexible EasyBuilder environment make inspection, defect detection, guidance, alignment and measurement applications easy to set up and deploy. In-Sight’s data acquisition speed of more than 100 image captures/s provides for reliable inspection of products on fast bottling and pharmaceutical production lines. Unlike most vision systems, the camera can power and control specialized lighting directly, eliminating the need for external power supplies. Additional features include CognexConnect, which offers a wide range of built-in communication protocols that interface directly with the vision system; built-in Ethernet; RS-232 serial interface; and multiple discrete I/Os.  The system can communicate directly to most PLC or robot controllers and manage multiple smart cameras remotely from a networked PC or HMI.
