Silver-Zinc Battery Maker Changes Names

Zinc Matrix Power has changed the company name to ZPower, Inc. The company has also launched a website in conjunction with the name change, www.zpowerbattery.com.

The name change reflects the move from pilot production to high-volume battery manufacturing in 2008. Under the name of ZPower, the company will continue to develop its rechargeable silver-zinc battery, which provides a 30% increase in energy density over traditional Li-ion batteries.
