Lithium-Cell Vendor Adds 1/2AA Size Option

Panasonic has added a ½AA-sized polycarbonmonofluoride lithium battery to its line of lithium primary cylindrical cells. The battery provides reliable power at extreme operating temperatures from -40°C to +100°C.

Other features of the BR ½AA lithium cell include 1000-mAh capacity, a self discharge of 0.5% per year at 20°C/60% RH, no passivation layer, and a constant discharge voltage. The cells are available in two- and three-pin models.
