Suitable for use in a wide variety of mobile voice applications, the W681310 is a single-channel voice CODEC for a/d and d/a conversion. The chip includes complete pin-selectable µ-law and A-Law companders that comply with ITU-T G.711 and ITU-T G.712 specifications. Operating from a 3V supply, the device is said to exhibit low power consumption and accommodate system level customization. For prototyping, the W681310DK development kit provides tools for creating and testing an application on a single, standalone platform.
