Düsseldorf, Germany: Toshiba Electronics Europe enhanced its lineup of NAND-Flash-based solid-State drives (SSDs) by adding a 256Gbyte SSD. The company also launched a series of small flash modules for netbook computers, ultra-mobile PCs (UMPCs), and other mobile and peripheral applications. The new drives were showcased at last week’s CEATEC event in Makuhari, Japan.
Samples of both the 256Gbyte SSD and the flash modules are available. Mass production is slated for the fourth quarter of this year.
