Junction Boxes Eliminate Hassle Of Connecting Wires To PLCs

March 1, 2001

This series of electrical distributor boxes is said to eliminate the hassle of connecting multiple wires to a programmable logic cards (PLCs) or computers, thereby reducing installation and troubleshooting time. The D-Box Series employs computerized controls to connect to sensors and actuators at the machine level. They are suited for use in automation, mobile, metering, and medical electronics applications. The distribution stations can withstand temperatures from -20°C to +80°C, operate with 120V (max.), and are assembled in a epoxy-encapsulated housing. They come in PNP (sourcing) and NPN (sinking) versions. And both 8- and 12-mm D-Boxes can be configured with 4-, 6- or 8-station I/O connectors. A hybrid 8-station Combo D-Box is also available with 8-mm connectors and for operation at 120V ac/dc max. and with 12-mm connectors and operation at 250V ac/dc max.
