The COM3010 is a full-featured communications service monitor, designed to provide highly accurate measurement and monitoring of communications equipment at frequencies from 100kHz to 1.0GHz with 0.1ppm accuracy.

Saelig introduced the RamseyTest COM3010 - a full-featured communications service monitor designed to provide highly accurate measurement and monitoring of communications equipment at frequencies from 100kHz to 1.0GHz with 0.1ppm accuracy. Full duplex design enables independent and separate measurement and testing of both transmitter and receiver circuits simultaneously. All functions are selected with simple commands and selections on the touch keypad and are displayed on high contrast graphical displays. Line powered, it also features internal battery operation as standard for field use. The long-life Li-Ion battery pack provides over one hour of operation, while two additional battery packs can be added to triple the battery life.

Well-suited for the two way radio user, simply key the transmitter while the radio is connected to the generator output for an instantaneous reading of RF output power in either watts or dBm. The COM3010 safely incorporates automatic reverse power protection rated at 100W with a built-in dummy load. A built-in frequency counter will display a DUT’s transmission frequency from 100kHz to 1.0GHz with 0.1ppm accuracy. A calibrated Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) meter makes the COM3010 ideal for testing filter designs and performance as well as characterizing cables. Testing is simplified with the built-in user memories. 100 groups of 100 memories allow the storage of a large number of test setups for quick and easy retrieval.

For receiver work, true SINAD sensitivity can be ascertained with the COM3010’s built-in SINAD meter. An audio loop-back is also available for the equipment being tested, removing the need for a separate SINAD meter. The COM3010 can receive and display both AM and FM modulation for transmitter testing. Its signal generator modulates in AM and FM with either internal or external sources. The built-in audio generator provides 0.1Hz to 3kHz test tones, as well as both CTS and DPL encode tones.
