Groomed for robotic applications, the SPiiPlus and MC4U motion-control modules integrate advanced tuning tools including FFT analysis as well as profile and variable monitoring. Both controllers offer flexible application programming using the ACSPL+ multi-tasking language that features 64-bit floating point math, vast array handling capabilities, and user-choice units. They also employ a flexible CONNECT command to implement complex forward and inverse kinematic equations. Other shared features include a 20-kHz servo update rate, 2-kHz profile update rate, dual-loop control, and an open architecture design that offers a variety of communication options including PCI, serial, and Ethernet. Remote monitoring is available using a TCP/IP Ethernet link. The modules also offer up to eight axes of arbitrary path generation with cubic interpolation. ACS MOTION CONTROL, Plymouth, MN.
