Tailored to wireless products, the Scorpion mobile microprocessor is reportedly the first such processor to enlist the ARMv7 instruction set. The device delivers processing speeds up to 1 GHz, a level said to provide up to eight times the performance of existing MSM solutions. It employs 65-nm, low-power low-leakage technology and a number of unique design approaches to deliver optimized power consumption and enable longer battery life. In addition, the processor's companion multimedia coprocessor employs ARM NEON technology to provide an additional eight billion operations per second.
