John Halenda Named President of Bourns Electronics

Bourns Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components and integrated solutions, has named John Halenda president and corporate executive vice president of Bourns Electronics. Halenda joins the company following the retirement of the current president, Jim Booth.

Upon announcing the appointment, Gordon Bourns, chairman and CEO of Bourns Inc., said, “We are very excited to welcome John, and think his diverse background and skills will prove extremely valuable in our continual drive toward company growth.”

In his new role, Halenda will manage and oversee all of Bourns’ product groups, including the Trimpot®, networks, sensors/controls and circuit protection product lines and their worldwide sales, strategic marketing, engineering, and production initiatives. Halenda will report directly to Gordon Bourns.

Halenda has more than 20 years of diverse business experience and a strong technical background. Most recently, Halenda served as president of Wynn’s-Precision Inc. In addition, he has held management positions at Fanuc Robotics and Illinois Tool Works, and holds an MBA from Harvard University.

Jim Booth announced his retirement following more than 20 years of service to Bourns Inc. Booth held many senior-level management positions within the company during his tenure. “I wish Jim great happiness in his retirement. He made many contributions to the organization and will be greatly missed,” said Gordon Bourns.
