The MX10 from Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp. is a well-regulated high-performance dc-dc converter that features "hot switchable" polarity reversal at 10 kV between 100 ms and 250 ms. The MX10’s low peak-to-peak ripple performance makes it ideal for Mass Spectrometry applications; especially security detection systems, LC-TOF dynode, sample ionization, and capillary electrophoresis and electrostatic printing applications.

The MX10’s 10 kV at 1 µA (also available to 100 µA) output comes in a metal enclosure that provides EMI shielding. This unit features remote inputs to control polarity reversal, enable/inhibit and monitoring of the output. Easily customized to meet OEM requirements, this compact (168 mm × 115 mm × 40 mm) +24 Vdc input model can be provided with current control, improved ripple performance and higher kilovolt and milliamp outputs.
