Alpha Electronics Corp. of America has introduced a new 2-W current sense resistor. The PWG series (2715) package, has a TCR of 0±25 ppm/°C, one of the lowest in the industry. The low TCR is a result of Alpha’s metal foil resistor technology. The PWG series is available within a 1 to 100-mΩ range with 2-W rated power and wrap-around terminals. Typical applications are for current sensing in power supplies, motor controls and inverters.
