Power-One Inc. introduces a new 400-W ac-dc power supply, the NET2-4350. This 5-output product features a unique dual-converter topology that provides two high-current outputs. These two “main” outputs can be used independently as tightly regulated voltages directly where they are needed, and/or as bus voltages for final conversion via point-of-load converters.

This 1-U-high power supply operates from an input range of 85 Vac to 264 Vac to provide 3.3 V at 55 A, 5 V at 40 A, two outputs of 12 V at 5 A, and a 5.2 V at 2 A standby output. The first four outputs can current share with other power supplies in fault-tolerant redundant configurations, making this a suitable power source for high-reliability applications.

Additional features include 7-W/cu in. power density, no minimum load operation, EN61000-3-2 compliant power factor correction and excellent load-transient response. Interface signals include input power-fail warning, remote sense on non-standby outputs, and Output Good. Protection features include overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature.

This compact 8.25 in. × 4.50 in. × 1.59 in. (209.6 mm × 114.3 mm × 40.4 mm) product incorporates an output terminal that allows connection to any combination of No. 8 ring lugs, 0.25-in. quick disconnects, cable connectors, and PCB-mounted connectors. Agency approvals include: UL 60950, CSA 60950 (UL/cUL) and EN60950-1 (TUV). Pricing for the NET2 is $390 each in quantities of 100.
