Advanced Analogic Technologies is opening two new offices in Beijing and Shenzhen, China. Staffed by field applications engineering, customer service and sales management personnel, the new facilities provide local technical resources to the company’s customer base in Asia for assistance with new product designs, system application issues and other engineering concerns.
AnalogicTech’s Total Power Management ICs help improve battery management and increase power savings in handheld devices. The company opened its Shanghai sales headquarters in July 2003 to meet the growing demand for analog power management chips from customers in the region. The new facilities in Beijing and Shenzhen reinforce the company’s strategy to deliver highly responsive, localized service in Asia for the design and manufacturing of portable electronic systems.
“With China rapidly growing as a major producer of cell phones, MP3 players and portable entertainment systems, we believe it is very important that power management IC suppliers provide an extensive support network in the country,” said Jan Nilsson, vice president of sales and marketing at AnalogicTech. “By adding these two new regional offices to our existing China headquarters facility in Shanghai, we now cover the major sectors of the portable systems market—from the system design houses in Beijing and system OEMs in Shenzhen, to the corporate centers in Shanghai.”
