DC-DC Converter Delivers 25 W/in³

Martek Power announced a new product family of high density, fully isolated dc-dc converters: the 2000WFR series. Delivering up to 20 W in an industry-standard 1-in. × 2-in. × 0.4-in. package, this line of high density converters provide up to 25 Win³. Key to providing this high a power level in a 1-in. × 2-in. footprint is the outstanding thermal performance that these converters offer with efficiencies up to 89%.

The 2000WFR series are available in 12-V, 24-V and 48-V input, with a 2-to-1 input range, and with single output modules of 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V and dual-output modules of ±12 V and ±15 V. Features include continuous short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, TTL/remote inhibit, 6-sided metal shielding for reduced noise signature and EMI compliance to EN55022 level A.
