AVX’s HiCV Series of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) offers more capacitance in smaller form factors, benefiting power applications. The HiCV MLCC output capacitors feature a base metal electrode system and a voltage range of 4 V to 35 V. The combination of low ESR values, high reliability and low inductance make these capacitors ideal for use as output filters. The HiCV MLCC output capacitors also can be used in decoupling applications.

“AVX has developed the HiCV MLCC output capacitor family to support the design trend of smaller capacitors with higher capacitance values,” said Tim Hollander, AVX marketing manager. “The use of advanced manufacturing technologies to produce thinner dielectric layers, together with enhancements to material performance, will continue to drive this development.”

Chip sizes range from 0.60 mm × 0.30 mm with a thickness of 0.30 mm to the largest chip size of 4.5 mm × 3.2 mm and a thickness of 2.79 mm. The capacitor series has a maximum operating temperature of +85°C.

Pricing varies pending on case sizes as well as quantity. For more information, visit www.avxcorp.com.
