Responding to a growing market need, Wall Industries has expanded its custom power business by providing a source for hard-to-find power products such as dc-dc converters and ac-dc power supplies. The move is designed to leverage the company’s ability to quickly and cost-effectively design, manufacture and ship modified standard and customized power solutions. By dedicating a component of the company’s resources to this initiative, the company offers design engineers a resource capable of providing hard-to-find power products or those products no longer supported by other manufacturers.

Wall Industries also will expand its Web site to include a section called “My Supply” where customers may enter their power sourcing challenges and expect a response within 24 hr. With in-house design engineering and manufacturing located domestically, Wall Industries is particularly suited to responding custom production runs in excess of 100 pieces.

The company’s products are used in many types of equipment ranging from industrial to telecom applications. “Applications requiring 40 W or less are one of the prime power market segments we’ve identified,” said Russ Berube, marketing and distribution manager for the company. “After other manufacturers stop supporting a product, customers can now turn to us to keep their equipment operating,” he explained.
