For customers exempt from the RoHS specifications, AVX has recently developed a tin-lead finish version of the conformal-coated tantalum radial leaded capacitor (TAP), which was originally introduced as a lead-free component. Designated the TEP Series, these capacitors are professional-grade devices manufactured with a flame-retardant coating and feature low leakage current and impedance and exceptional temperature stability in very small packages.

The TEP Series has a capacitance range of 0.1 µF to 330 µF with ±10% or ±20% tolerences. It is available in bulk and T&R packaging for automatic insertion. Typical pricing ranges from $0.130 to $2.50 in quantities of 10,000.
